L’UNA ALIENA: The lens designed by your optician
MIDO 2022 is now in the books and, here at Divel, we are full of positive vibes, as can be seen in our most recently launched campaign.
Being back at a trade show was exhilarating, and shaking hands with our customers was a thrill we hadn’t been able to have in quite some time.
At MIDO, with our NEVER LOOK BACK campaign, Divel Italia presented our new collection of sun filters, which were on display sporting the specially designed images Bollipop, Majolica, Aside and Logomania, but these were just a few of the original collections of sun filters that designers and manufacturers were able to see at the event.
The greatest innovation in corrective lenses was L’UNA ALIENA.
What is L’una Aliena, you say? It’s our unique, personalized version of our top-of-the-line progressive lens, Aliena.
What makes L’una Aliena different from other progressive lenses?
Because L’una lenses are designed by the optician. But how? With L’una Aliena lenses, special software provided to opticians can be used to adjust the parameters of the lens, including the figures for the near and far-view zones, and the optician can view a 3D map of the surface of the lens at the same time.
As you adjust the parameters of the lens, you get a realistic view of the power progression zones (map) in different colors, and you can also show the customer a preview of how exactly their lens will be made.
You can view the changes in real time to get a better understanding of the aberrations of the lens. The more you move towards the red area, the greater the aberrations. In the lower part of the window, you can change the view of the surface of the lens:
• 2D VIEW (fig. b)
• 3D VIEW (fig. a)
• CYLINDER MAP
• POWER MAP
Using this tool, the optician can show the customer a real-time reproduction of the progressive lens they are about to buy.
The customer’s data can be stored securely by the software and retrieved at a later date for any future orders.
