ALIENA is the new Di­v­el pro­gres­sive lens that guar­an­tees ex­tra and un­com­pro­mised vi­sion. Our De­vel­op­ment and Re­search lab­o­ra­to­ry in Mi­lan, fol­low­ing the suc­cess of Au­ro­ra geome­tries, three years ago, start­ed a new de­vel­op­ment process for pro­gres­sive lens­es by cre­at­ing a re­newed and much more per­form­ing al­go­rithm that uses geo­met­ric shapes. Di­v­el tech­nol­o­gy works in two dis­tinct phas­es: the first part of the cal­cu­la­tion “breaks down” the lens into vir­tu­al tri­an­gles to con­nect var­i­ous an­gles in a more per­fect way. Pro­gres­sive­ly it com­pose more com­plex six-tri­an­gle shapes that al­low the best con­trol of the lens curves.In the sec­ond part, the soft­ware uses a poly­no­mi­al (a very com­plex for­mu­la) which an­a­lyzes first re­sult and cor­rects it ac­cord­ing to the pow­ers of the lens, height and di­am­e­ter. In this phase, com­pen­sa­tion of the en­tire sur­face of the lens with re­spect to the oblique rays is also ob­tained, al­ways start­ing from a 90-de­gree pro­duc­tion de­vel­oped on 3 axes with re­spect to the geo­met­ric cen­ter. The end re­sult is a very com­fort­able lens in all ar­eas of use; aber­ra­tions are dis­trib­uted even­ly and above all in a very uni­form way, with­out any peak. This tech­nol­o­gy elim­i­nates fa­tigue in dai­ly use and makes the pro­gres­sive lens more and more sim­i­lar to a mono­fo­cal lens. CHAR­AC­TER­IS­TIC
